Oh my God, this report's gonna suck. I don't do this kind of stuff but... I did say yesterday I was going to do this. So I'm going to pull this off the best way I can: being Princess Butterball about it.
Uhm... Gustav's a hurricane again. Damnit. And things aren't looking great for the Caribbean either.
As of 6:30 this evening, the projected path--thanks to weather.com
Hurricane warning in effect for the Caymans and Cuba. For more on Hurricane Gustav as well as the possible soon-to-be-Hurricane [currently Tropical Storm] Hanna, click here and read on.
So, yeah. Oh and, supposedly there are two cold fronts about to hit some areas of the nation within the next handful of days or so. And Florida's expected to get some rain/thunderstorms within the next couple of days. Pretty much, this isn't going to be a fun next few weeks or so, from what I'm gathering. Again, I'm no meteorologist [erm... roboter... did i spell that right??] so, if I'm wrong then hey, my bad. But I do intend on looking out for some of my fellow Underground Citizens who are keeping their eyes to the skies.
So... there you have it. My very first actual weather report of sorts.
Oh and at the moment--6:50 P.M.--it's 88F, feels like 93F. That's on the local front of things.
*sigh* That's the last thing we need, really. More freckin' storms...

Well, yes, I'm right on schedule this time! And look! no storms at the moment.

Stay tuned for more weather drama as I hear more about it from... well... someone. As, at the moment, I'm kind of going by what the news says and by word of mouth.

Chapter 173 ~ Why's A Mouse When It Spins...!?
WARNING: This could be the most downright fucking happy blogpost that I've done in a very, very long time. A lot of music, a lot of pictures, a lot of sass, and a whole darn lot of class was utilized in the making of this blogpost. Sit your butt right on down and prepare to laugh as Princess Fireball turns into Princess Butterball.
["No Love Lost" - Warsaw (Joy Division)]
["Invisible Sun" - The Police]
As you can tell, I've got no tears whatsoever for today. That was done last night. And last night, like the ex that is Kaguya, is in the past. Where it belongs.
And now, onto much better things on the supposed Day of Tears...
First and foremost, a customer was kinda rude this morning, acted like a jerk--just like the first time he came about [this was the second time i'd seen him in the drive-thru]. Except, instead of calling me "Sir" like he did that time, this time he called me a bitch!! I took that as a compliment, smiled, and wished him a nice day. He told me to fuck off. I just rolled my eyes and said, "I'm sorry, but you're not my type." Oh, the look on his face... yeah, you can say that, I had to put some jerk in his place, stat. I had never felt so good about telling some customer who didn't know better off like that in a very, very long while. Go Princess Fireball!!
As Roboter put it best this morning, "Bazooka, kablamo!"
Right now it's freckin' 92F, but it feels like bloody 100 outside. It's God-awful hot out there. Not exactly my type of weather. And the hell with being-used-to-wearing-longsleeved-turtlenecks-in-summertime: *NEWS FLASH, HOMEYS--IT'S DOGGONE HAWT OUTSIDE!!!* Mark my words, boys and girls of the Underground--unless you can handle the heat, stay away from the outdoors.
["Black Star" - Radiohead]
This past Sunday my big brother Ani had to go lecture at the Stetson Graduate Center in Celebration, a PRETTY SMALL TOWN just 77 miles from DeLand. I got kinda bored after taking a couple of pics while Ani gave his lecture. Well, besides worrying myself dull about Roboter. *shrug* But, all in all, the weather held up well until Ani tried to drive home after we stopped outside the Presbyterian Church there, where the Carillon was ringing [perfect timing]--can we say, erm, DOWNPOUR!?
Anywho, here are the pics, all bloody 20 of 'em!! ~
*favorite!!*
Secret admirers = very, VERY annoying. Most of 'em are locals. And most of 'em don't understand. And that's why I don't give 'em the time of day. Including one recent admirer that, turns it, is actually one of my regulars. *sigh* I really don't do well with the locals. At all. I still think my heart's kind of... erm... out-of-state...
["Finding Out True Love Is Blind" - Louis XIV]
Oh and, guess what we now have in Back Drive-Thru... check this pretty thing out!!
Its noise level: nil. Its main purpose: to keep the back D-T cool when it's almost turning into a freckin' oven. And does Princess Fireball love it? You better bloody believe I do!! Michelle and I teamed up for this rescue-mission, and Store Manager Joel absolutely LOVES it. And do we blame him? Absolutely NOT.
Speaking of the store, today we'd been exceptionally busy, but we sure kicked ass--
7-8 A.M. [breakfast rush]: 113 cars
11 A.M. - noon: 100 cars [and that usually NEVER happens!]
Noon - 1 P.M.: 109 cars
So yep, we've been busy, hyped up on sugar [again, thank you michelle!!], and just absofreckin'lutely happy. Especially me. Because today a year ago I started crying at least once a day for over a week straight--and this year, I'm not crying over that ex anymore...!
["Cellphone's Dead" - Beck]
Today was the first early-release day of the year. And that means, school's back in session!! Yay!!/Oh bloody hell no...
Last night's concert at Stetson, with Dr. Rickman: BRILLIANT!! His colleague Dr. Rodriguez, who had the first half of the concert, was awesome on the guitar. His 25-year legacy is the Guitar program at Stetson; best piece was this one where he was joined by Dr. Jones on the harpsichord. Dr. Rickman meanwhile marked his 25-year legacy as pianist and professor. Now on Sundays I usually witness Dr. Rickman the Organist--last night I was amazed at Dr. Rickman the Pianist. And, as he pulled me aside one moment to give me a minor note at the reception, "This is my main gig!" A brilliant night, one worth wearing heels and staying up kind of past my bedtime for!!
And last but not least tomorrow is our favorite Underground Countdown, the Starian Union Radio Top 20. Of course, odds are I'll also be hanging out with Kit and her boyfriend tomorrow, catching up on life and whatnot. This should be interesting. I should still be in one piece for the most part. Every once in a while it's good to spend time with friends so, hopefully they'll be around and available and what-not.
Oh and, one thing more--since I'm just too darn nice [and because I love though it's annoying... sometimes], three songs for Roboter.
HEY!! everyone count along now: ein, zwei, drei, vier...
["Nummern/Computerwelt 2 (Numbers/Computer World 2)" - Kraftwerk]
Unfortunately I can't find the original by the Traveling Wilburys, but I love the alt-country cover just as much. I think this song kinda describes us these past 2 and a 1/2 weeks. The song's been a staple on the WSRU Top 20 too...
["Handle With Care" - Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins]
And finally, because... well... what the hell? After whatever mess this past weekend may have become, I still <3 Roboter and I bloody cannot lie. Of course, there is going to be someone about good and ready to bitch up and call me out on this, but let's ask Princess Fireball if she really, really cares right now...
["Computer Love" - Kraftwerk]
*WHEW!!* Okay, updated and what-not. Time for dinner and, yes, I *need* to reblue my hair. The blue's been fairly fading--it's turning indigo... still some blue... with a minor hint of green...
Uh, yeah, I think it's time to go now.
Happy Liberated-Heart Day. To hell with the tears.
Until the next round [er, tomorrow's countdown!], cheers!!

Chapter 172 ~ A Rosary of Tears: A Year Later...
I still remember... a year ago today I didn't seem to think much, except, just like last night, I saw a rainbow. And for those of you Underground Citizens that know me best, I hate rainbows. To me they are the messengers of sorrow, the Harbingers of Bad News I call 'em. They meant bad news then, they still do now.
Tomorrow marks the anniversary of when my world started to shatter. No matter how hard I try to shun the memory of my ex Kaguya away, it all falls down to this. And everything that happened between now and then, I'm thinking of this in the form of an Anglican Rosary--a Rosary of Tears in this case.
By the way, in case you're asking, this is what an Anglican Rosary looks like:
So, following the diagram around... the way a Rosary's usually prayed, I'm going to recount the Tears, if you will.
Starting at the very bead right above the cross, there stands me, about to start the path through the Tears. Right above, the First Heartache--Kaguya. Then seven smaller beads follow, seven more Tears to cry between then and the Second Heartache, Hikari. Seven more memories of tears later, the Third Heartache, not too long ago: Siren. Between Heartaches 2 and 4, 10 of the smaller Tears stand for the 10 of my friends who've lost a loved one--family or pet--since April.
The Fourth Heartache is yet to come, but draws very, very near, and those small Tears after that are the Tears to come--between now and my Quarter-Centennial, in about a month and a week or so from now. And, well, it's a bit of new situation that I don't know... well... just HOW in the world I came to face this.
Something's happened to Roboter--and I can't put my finger on it, and it seems that there's nothing I can do to help him. We haven't talked since early Saturday morning, and judging from the text he *finally* sent me Sunday he's probably dealing with stuff that, emotionally, is getting to him.
So of course, am I to worry? Uhm... hell yeah.
At the moment, I'm taking the advice of last night's fortune cookie, which I saw BEFORE I faced the rainbow:
Restrain yourself from intruding into other's buisinesses.
So... well... I guess, I haven't talked to him since Friday. I only sent him a text letting him know that I'm thinking of him and that I hope he's alright. But otherwise I've decided to let him be for a while. When he's ready to talk, or if he ever needs someone to talk to, he knows I'm never too far, somehow.
But still, it hurts. To feel like I'd been a year ago. In a sense, alone. And with Roboter, I don't know what to do. It seems that, for a second time, life's kinda taken him away from me. Again. And there isn't a damn thing I can do about it except to look back on some of the posts from last October, back when I codenamed him Antenna [because back then Roboter was Ralf of Kraftwerk! *lol*]. But... I still wonder...
DID I DO ANYTHING WRONG, THAT HE ISN'T TALKING TO ME NOW!?
But for now, I guess, I can only wonder, What did I do? Why won't he talk to me? Could anything have been done to fix things, whatever the situation? How could 10 months of talking fall apart in one weekend of silence?
*sigh* I've spent the last three days [Saturday thru Monday/yesterday] worrying myself quietly about him. And I don't know what's wrong or why or... well... nothing.
I don't know. Maybe it is my fault.
So, for the part of me that, somehow, still belives... despite the Rosary of Tears...
I pulled my coat around my shoulders
And took a walk down through the park
The leaves were falling around me
The groaning city in the gathering dark
On some solitary rock
A desperate lover left his mark,
"Baby, I've changed. Please come back."
What the head makes cloudy
The heart makes very clear
The days were so much brighter
In the time when she was here
But I know there's somebody somewhere
Make these dark clouds disappear
Until that day, I have to believe
I believe, I believe
In a New York Minute
Everything can change
In a New York Minute
You can get out of the rain
In a New York Minute
Everything can change
In a New York Minute
~ "New York Minute" - Don Henley
At the moment this is all I can find, YouTube-wise, until I get the song up, as it's the Song of the Week for this week.
Tonight is Dr. Rickman's 25th-anniversary Concert at Stetson. And, I did fail to mention two things that happened recently:
Tabbsy's uncle passed away two weeks ago today. That's why the death toll is at 10.
1 lost her uncle.
2 lost their fathers.
1 lost her mother.
1 lost her brother.
1 lost his niece.
2 lost their husbands.
2 lost their pet dogs.
May her uncle's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, by the mercy of God, rest in peace eternal. + Amen.
And, last week [20 August] was Ralf from Kraftwerk's birthday, and because of the storm I'd completely forgotten until Roboter reminded me. But still. A song should've been due. And I'm somewhat at fault for forgetting that. So I do apologise for the tardiness of both newsbits.
Alrighty. Time for me to go get ready for Dr. Rickman's Concert. And I still gotta reblue my hair. I doubt I'll have time for that though. That... that's not good news, is it?
*sigh* Part of me really, really wants to cry right now. And trying to be a brave StarKnight Captain in the face of anything, in a sense, I can't. But tonight, this week... I just know I will. I saw the rainbow, the Harbinger of Bad News. And I'm anchoring down to whatever's left of... well... anything to hold on to.
Oh and, the new section of the ceiling over my stove's got a leak in it too. Fucking hell.
Okay, I think I'll go and have a good cry about how screwed up my 25 years alive have really become...
*sigh* Until the next round, boys and girls...

Chapter 170 ~ Survived.
Many, many apologies for this week's massive absence, but in case no one's been watching the T.V. my homestate of Florida got a very unnecessary visit by Tropical Storm Fay. Areas of Florida are flooded, as she'd been around [particularly East-Central Florida] all. damn. week. Needless to say there's been a lot of rain and nasty winds about this week; safe to say it wasn't the week to go near a central processing unit. Except at work, while dealing with some of the most ungrateful, inconsiderate mess of customers I'd ever faced in a long time.
Well, this week's over, and I'm off all weekend. But my week's basically been screwed over as I'd been indoors all week. What a freckin' waste.

So Roboter on Monday nearly got shot by lightning on his way to work. Literally. He was on his way to work when he ended driving right into a freckin' storm [way to go honey!]... complete with rain, wind, AND hail. He's trying to make it to work in one piece, and all is kinda alright as he arrives at the parking lot. Now mind you, en route to work he notices that the lightning is striking the ANTENNA TOWER at the station. And no surprise, it's a cause for panic for both him AND myself.
Well, as he was about to make his run through the parking lot... well... he ran and--I couldn't tell what was going on over the phone. I heard this loud BOOM!!, heard a yell, and then a whole lot of laughter besides my own giggling!! Turns out his coworker had opened the door for Roboter so he could literally dive right through as an actual lightning bolt had JUST MISSED him!! And we ALL got a helluva good laugh out of that, which, after our conversation on the phone, must've prompted him to text me the following:
Btw, I hope that escapade goes in the blog!
Yes dear, it's in the blog now. ;-) *lol!!*
Two minutes later another text from him...
storm clouds!
they're still out there!
So my crazy weather nut got God-awful close to the weather that time. Literally!! But at least he's alright, thank God.
This week meanwhile was when Tropical Storm Fay hit this state upside. Unbloodyfair. A lot of rain and some hectic wind--Melbourne is currently flooded. Word came this morning that the Florida Hospital, Fish Memorial [in Orange City] is being evacuated--something broke, water everywhere. [PLEASE keep the patients and staff in your kind thoughts and prayers, fellow Underground Citizens.] Power was out in Merritt Island, where Siren is. This was also supposed to be the first week of school for most of Central Florida, Volusia County in particular and for Stetson University as well.
Work was very, VERY nervewrecking as well, as this week the weather just about messed some of us over. Michelle's house is flooded, as is Nicci's. I don't know who else from work is suffering, though I *did* walk to work Monday, Tuesday and yesterday. Not a fun situation to be walking to work in. And this week brought out some of the most ungrateful, inconsiderate customers I'd ever faced in quite a good long while. We had a sign that said "PLEASE turn your windshield wipers off! Thank you!" today because most of the week a majority of the customers didn't even consider turning them off at my Drive-Thru window. And the Store Manager wasn't in the best of moods [his oldest son Kristian left for the Air Force this week], and everybody was stressed out because of the storm. And it all took its toll on little old me. So, bear with me as I proudly declare,
THANK GOD I'M OFF THE NEXT TWO DOGGONE DAYS!!!
*whew!!* There. All better now.
So there you have it. This week, pretty much, and the Top 20 all caught up.
--crap, I almost forgot. Supposedly there's ANOTHER STORM heading our way in the next handful of days. And to be honest that's the last thing I need.
Oh and, the new part of the ceiling, over my stove, now has a leak somewhere. So of course, as if having a Tropical Storm and a workweek from hell all in the same week wasn't enough to bitch about...
*sigh* I think some dinner is in order.
This week is over. And I'm glad I survived.

Chapter 169 ~ "SUNSHINE! you've got some explaining to do..."
Okay okay, so I'm actually three days behind. I really do apologize to my fellow Underground Citizens, but I've just been God-awful busy and really, really tired. Especially the tired part--Roboter himself would know. He's had to work a hectic shift this past week AND next week, and then it'll be back to his regular work-time. But anywho. On to more important things. Like this:

20] "Almost With You" - The Church
Alright, so I've been dreadfully busy--actually went home almost entirely in tears Wednesday afternoon after a really, really crappy day at work. This was not a very good week, Citizens. I do hope this week won't be too bad but, with my luck...
*sigh*
Oh and, two classic Doctor Who moments...
Hey! don't jumprope with the Doctor!! [or maybe do so...?]
And... *squee!!* I wanna hug that silly Doctor!! <3
Meh. I gotta do laundry today. Dressing up for first-day-of-school day tomorrow for work. Fun.
Yes, I will get a picture up somehow. Someone at work is bound to bring a freckin' camera... hopefully... *shrug*
Until the next round, cheers

[What goes down in the Underground...]
Mondays start the new workweek. Wednesdays tend to differ, depending on if I need to work or not--usually I'm off, and usually visiting "Uncle" Joseph. Thursdays is the Daughters of the King meeting night. Fridays and Saturdays are normally hectic--never the same drama twice. Sundays = Church day. I update the blog accordingly, with a rant or two, the occasional music post, and sometimes the most random nonsuch.
So stay tuned, because things are fixing to get interesting... and, save your forks--the best is yet to come...
