Chapter 122, Part 2/2: The Top-20 WSUR--now on Thursdays!

Since Thursdays seem to be my main day off now, and since it's the only main day to actually update the music charts, the Top-20 WSUR will now be on Thursdays. Now let's see if I can stick to that. With my luck, I think I can!!

And, as I can see from last week and this week, some mighty changes in the chart for sure!! The brand new single by Death Cab for Cutie makes its first appearance, and of course there hasn't been a band that's got two songs in the Top-20 Charts, but of course, knowing me, that could change by next week. Sneaker Pimps' "6 Underground" became the big jumper of the week, jumping up 15 notches, and most of last week's high-standers basically went AWOL. Stay tuned, folks.

Chapter 122, Part 1/2: Small Update on Upcoming Misadventures

Alright, as of today,

~ Baker [or Union?] Cemetery *visited Sunday*
~ Bethel Cemetery
~ Charitable Cemetery
~ DeLand Memorial Gardens
~ Gibralter Mausoleum
~ Glenwood Cemetery
~ Hidden cemetery near I-4
~ Lungren Cemetery
~ Oakdale Cemetery *already visited, will post pics soon*
~ Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery
~ Potter's Field Cemetery *visited today, no pics though*

Three down, seven more to go. The Potter's Field Cemetery, the official name I actually forgot, is behind the Hospital, and was the County Cemetery. Unfortunately it was gated, gates were locked, and there was what looked to be a Cemetery landscaper there, so I simply stopped before the gate and said a prayer for the deceased. Then I turned on my heel and simply left in the same manner I approached it--in silence. Pure, simple silence. Gave no explanation to anyone why I was there.

...well, considering that now I've got awful deep blue hair... yeah, anyone could question, Who the heck is she and what is she doing here?! Just remember, it's all for the sake of history. Pure history.

Life Major: Heaven
Life Minors: History, Music

And that leads me to part two which is, once again, two days late...

Chapter 121 - Wow. And a *squee!!*

Alright. Anyone remember from last year or earlier this year about the one guy I had the most stupid little crush on, how he always got me smiling whenever he stopped by in my drive-thru? Well... he stopped by Tuesday, the day of the week when all hell broke loose this week around.

I know I didn't mention this story, so I'm gonna tell it and add more to it with Tuesday's recollections.

The day after the break-up with Casey, he [the crush] stopped by and we had a good two-minute conversation, as usual. And that was when I finally confessed my crush on him. And he 'fessed up that he's engaged, but that he also thought I was sweet.

"You're sweet...!"

I'll never forget these words. I haven't forgotten them. And when he stopped by Tuesday I was like, "You know, we've been pals for a while, and I never got your name!"

Well, his name is Solomon. :-) And he thinks my nickname's a nice name! *giggling like crazy* I know, I'm pathetic. Well, he knows I'm kinda pathetic too. And that's alright with us.

*sigh* And yes, he's always got that smile on his face for me when he stops by, and that smiling face is enough to stop me in my tracks and make my brain go HUH!?

Yeah, he has that kind of effect on me. Really.

*squee!* Maybe I can [silently!] cheer him on when he gets married!! Hey Solomon, you think I can get an invite? Pretty please??

Chapter 120 - Some Upcoming Misadventures of the StarKnight Captain...

Song of the day: "Pretty Girls Make Graves" - The Smiths

Alright, are y'all sitting down?

As many people know [or not know?], I'm starting up on a new hobby: urban exploration. And in this case, my explorations are going to be a bit more towards the, erm... interesting.

And by interesting I mean, cemetary exploration anyone?

So earlier today, as I wanted to say a prayer and pay my final humble respects to Usagi-chan's mother, I went hunting for the cemetery where Usagi-chan's mother was buried. But then, well, I kinda got lost... so I ended up back on the main road in town. After some lunch I searched up more cemeteries and... well, let's just say that I'm thankful to be familiar with most of the areas where these places here in town are.

So, without further ado, here's my list [in alphabetical order] of the cemeteries I'm going to attempt to visit BEFORE the end of June. Because let's face it. I can't allow myself a week or even a month to attempt all of this!!

But anyways...

~ Baker [or Union?] Cemetery
~ Bethel Cemetery
~ Charitable Cemetery
~ DeLand Memorial Gardens
~ Gibralter Mausoleum
~ Glenwood Cemetery
~ Hidden cemetery near I-4
~ Lungren Cemetery
~ Oakdale Cemetery *already visited, will post pics soon*
~ Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery
~ Potter's Field Cemetery

This is going to be one heck of a 2 and a 1/2 months...!

Chapter 118: It's Only Been Three Years...

...yet the sadness is still there. The iron bell still tolling...

Even now, the memory of his loss...

And then, its final sorrow, and then a new beginning...

The Purest Pride of Poland, it's blessid gift to the World...

Chapter 117: You're My Satellite...

Song of the day: "Satellite" - Guster.

Somehow, this song absolutely reminds me of Siren. I swear it does.

I still remember it was somewhere in the later months of last year, at work, that I first heard this song. I fell in love with it. And then it all came back to me last night when I hung out with my friend Elver at the Chili's in town, when I heard this song and told him, "Damnit, I need to find this song!!"

Today, I did. Thank God!! :-)

There's just something about this song... maybe the lyrics...?

Shining like a work of art
Hanging on a wall of stars
Are you what I think you are?

You're my satellite
You're riding with me tonight
Passenger side, lighting the sky
Always the first star that I find
You're my satellite

Elevator to the moon
Just a little favorite tune
Trying to get a closer view

You're my satellite
You're riding with me tonight
Passenger side, lighting the sky
Always the first star that I find
You're my satellite

Maybe you will always be
Just a little out of reach

You're my satellite
You're riding with me tonight
Passenger side, lighting the sky
Always the first star that I find
You're my satellite
You're my satellite

*sigh* Stars are dotting the heavens, somewhere in the world tonight.

Chapter 116: I'll Never Procrastinate About April 15 Ever Again.

Currently, I'm trying to file my tax return, and TurboTax, for some stupid reason, isn't really doing anything. I'm still on this same page that I've been in for the past, erm... 10 minutes now?

So, alas, in my grief and ill-temperament I've opted to refresh the damn thing.

--holy sheep, it worked! Flippin' sweet!!

So, where am I going with all of this? Well, here's the moral of the story:

When filing taxes, it is best to do them yourself!

So, at the moment, or as of now, I'm done with taxes for the year. Yay! But of course I had to procrastinate... and I shouldn't have.

At least I'll get my tax refund sooner this year. *smirk* And that's always a good thing, when you give it some thought.

You know, there is a good side to e-filing. Why am I bitching?

Chapter 115: Good Things... and, erm... Not-So-Good Things?

Okay, first and foremost, two good things. One, a new pic of me from Tuesday [yes, I was re-reddening my hair instead of updating the music charts, my bad]...

Naw, not Sunny versus the camera and mirror!!

The second good thing is, I remixed it! Thank you Photobucket!!

...hee, Old Photo. I like this.

And now, erm... the not-so-good stuff.

For one, Manager Rabbit's mother passed away Wednesday [some say Thursday, but I'm trustin' the Preacher on this one], and the funeral was today. Inasmuch as I've been busting my butt at work this week, I'd hoped that the week would end alright. But it didn't when Manager Joel gave me news of Rabbit's mother yesterday. So needless to say I'd been pretty awful glum for most of the afternoon.

But the real scare came later on into the early evening, when a friend posted in a forum his second Post-Mortem Photography thread. And stupid and curious as I was...

...yeah, I saw them. And now I'm scarred for the rest of the night.

I don't do funerals. I've realized this. And when it involves an open casket, you better believe it's one of the most disturbing memories that can be etched into my mind. Whether it's my Great-Grandfather almost 7 years ago or Rabbit's mother about 10 hours ago... it's still disturbing.

*sigh* Did I ever tell y'all I'm afraid to die?

Chapter 113: Revisiting My Gothic Side For The Night...

One band: Mira.

Mira's Website. Check 'em out.

I hadn't heard of them until late 2002/early 2003, when I bought the "Projekt: Gothic" music sampler. Heard their song "Cayman." Fell in love with it instantly. And then I hunted down their album "Mira", which is now one of my top-10 favorite albums of all time. They have a new album out, "there i go daydreamer" and, from the two tracks I've heard, it sounds downright impressive. It's fantabulous.

I guess that's my musical recommendation for the night. 'Nuff said, end of.

Until the next round...

Chapter 111 [part 1 of 2]: Like a Phoenix from its Ashes, I Have Risen Above.

Or, YEAHOO! I'm all freckin' better! :-)

Many, many thank-you's to everyone that's kept me in their thoughts and prayers. I definitely feel a lot better today [actually, started yesterday early and it's only gotten more and more terrific]; now that that's out of the way I have only one more problem to face...

Uhm... my cell phone's kinda broken. *facepalm* Bloody hell.

Soooo... Ani-chan [my wacky big brother!] and I are going to have a crazy misadventure in trying to get the phone replaced. And considering I haven't eaten yet, yeah. This could be a long night ahead.

Also, squee! New feature! The Recently-Played tracks! Just in time for April and the rest of the year... and beyond! Now you can catch what your resident Anti-Princess has been listening to. ^_^

And finally, speaking of music... here comes part 2. It's Tuesday. Y'all know what time it is...!

~ "Sunshine"

[What goes down in the Underground...]

Mondays start the new workweek. Wednesdays tend to differ, depending on if I need to work or not--usually I'm off, and usually visiting "Uncle" Joseph. Thursdays is the Daughters of the King meeting night. Fridays and Saturdays are normally hectic--never the same drama twice. Sundays = Church day. I update the blog accordingly, with a rant or two, the occasional music post, and sometimes the most random nonsuch.

So stay tuned, because things are fixing to get interesting... and, save your forks--the best is yet to come...
